On Friday, July 26, 2013, we celebrated summertime on the Scoozi patio with friends. Scoozi was pouring tastings of a variety of Italian sparkling wines including Prosecco, Rose-Brut, and Moscato served with their signature antipasti like bruschetta, caprese and an assortment of their wood-fired pizzas. Our favorite was the Lobster Pizza, which was Lobster, Red pepper puree, baby arugula, and truffle oil.
Scoozi had the vision and the drive to enlighten us all with bubble commentary. Could it be that we all just need a little fun, affordable bubbly? At a time when our eyelids and bank accounts are looking rather droopy, a few bottles of fizz are welcome, and Prosecco can often be a good option—We just needed to learn a little more about the options and what to look for.
As you may know, Prosecco is a sparkling white wine from Italy—as well as the grape it’s made from (though the grape is also known as Glera.) Prosecco is typically a bit more fruity than Champagne or Cava.
The Prosecco on the Patio crowd was great- and the vibe was fun and still relaxing. Overall this was a great event with amazing food that paired well with all the Proceccos. Well done Scoozi, Well done.
