Shockingly, the chain food desert that is Schaumburg can still churn out a few gems, such as White Chocolate Restaurant Schamburg. One might be surprised to learn that everything is made in house at the restaurant.
We started off with a Market Greens Salad, which was divinely dressed with their freshly made in house balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing. It was tossed with carrots, cherry tomatoes and topped with goat cheese.
Non animal eating vegetarians beware. The only entree option other than a salad is the quinoa burger. However, it was delightful. Full of flavor and the texture was amazing. The quinoa burger was moist and delicious. Probably one of the best veggie burgers we’ve ever had and we’ve had quite a few! It’s a unique and tasty patty made with quinoa, black beans, and other veggies.
We also ordered the blackened fish sandwich with carrots, which was terrific. The fish was cooked to perfection and the carrots on the side was just amazing. It was refreshing to see they had some “healthy” side options instead of just forcing fries down your throat.
Those of you avoiding gluten, they have an extensive array of gluten free options on their menu.
The food complimented our wine and whiskey flight very well. The whiskey flight was a great way to taste a wider variety and some of the exclusive hand picked whiskeys. White Chocolate Restaurant Schamburg has over 125 carefully crafted whiskey choices.
We really liked the dark atmosphere. We were seated in a nice booth which was great because we felt a bit isolated from everyone else.
The real star of our visit was the over the top excellent service from our server Tom, he seemed to know the menu inside and out and was able to answer all the questions knowledgeably. It really was some of the best service we have every had. Looking forward to getting back there soon.
Thanks May Mey for the recommendation. We will definitely be returning.
